Description

Porter Point is a rocky headland south of the Nestucca Bay Mouth in southern Tillamook County. The pastured slopes above the headland are known as Cannery Hill. You can walk the beach here, sometimes clambering over rocks to explore stacks and sea caves, to reach the bay mouth. There are views north to Nestucca Spit, Haystack Rock, Cape Kiwanda, and Cape Lookout. On a sunny day at low tide, harbor seals will be basking at the tip of the spit, so bring your binoculars!
