Perry Point

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Revision as of 17:31, 22 November 2017 by Bobcat (Talk | contribs)

View east from Perry Point (bobcat)

Description

A short spur off the Bottle Prairie Trail #455 takes you to this rocky promontory that blooms with balsam root in the early summer. Views from here are restricted, but Flag Point, Tygh Ridge, and the rolling countryside of the Columbia Plateau are visible. The crow's nest lookout platform here has decayed away, but look for the remains of a ladder leading up a gnarly Douglas-fir with a sawed-off top.
