Driving Directions
Drive south on Highway 97.
It’s 23.3 miles from the intersection of Highways 97 and 20 in Bend before you make a left turn onto Paulina-East Lake Road for the Newberry Caldera and Paulina and East Lakes.
Drive 11.3 miles to arrive at a welcome station, where you can show your Northwest Forest Pass or pay the fee and pick up information.
Proceed another 1.5 miles.
Pass the turnoff for the Paulina Lake Lodge on the left, and take the next left into the Paulina Lake Day-use Area opposite the National Volcanic Monument’s visitor center.
