Keep on this road, which becomes NE Lucia Falls Road, for 8.6 miles, and turn right onto NE Sunset Falls Road.

Go 2.1 miles on this winding paved road and turn right onto NE Dole Valley Road.

After 5.2 miles, turn right onto Road L1000 for the Larch Mountain Correction Center.

After 0.5 miles on this gravel road, turn right for Cold Creek Camp on Road L1300 (This road is usually gated in fall and winter months).

Drive 0.3 miles to the Cold Creek Day-use Area.

There is also a campground here which is open in the summer when a volunteer campground host is present.
