Chicken Rock

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Table Rock from Chicken Rock (bobcat)

Description

The unofficially named Chicken Rock is a rubbly 4,565' prominence just south of Rooster Rock in the Table Rock Wilderness. A short trail leads up from the saddle between the two outcrops; the view from Chicken Rock encompasses almost the entire wilderness area and beyond. A dry meadow cascades down from the summit becoming more lush where it is crossed by the High Ridge Trail. Wildflowers, including little sunflower, paintbrush, blue field gilia, salmon polemonium, and mountain owl clover, are abundant here.
