Driving Directions

PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are not permitted on this trail even on leash. You may have seen people going up with dogs: these scofflaws are ignoring signs and the explicit directions of the Nature Conservancy. This is a private trail: DO NOT bring your pet!

From Portland, take Highways 99W and 18 toward Lincoln City. Just before Lincoln City, turn right on US 101, drive a 3.8 miles north to Forest Service Road 1861, which lacked a sign at my last visit. Turn left and drive for 3.0 miles to the trailhead.
