Driving Directions
Drive south on Highway 97.
It’s 23.3 miles from the intersection of Highways 97 and 20 in Bend before you make a left turn onto Paulina-East Lake Road for the Newberry Caldera and Paulina and East Lakes.
Drive 11.3 miles to arrive at a welcome station, where you can show your Northwest Forest Pass or pay the fee and pick up information.
Proceed another 3.7 miles, and make a right turn for the Big Obsidian Flow.
Go 0.1 miles to the trailhead parking area.
