Description

Big Guy is a huge fallen Douglas-fir in the Bureau of Land Management’s Valley of the Giants Outstanding Natural Area. Before Big Guy was toppled by a windstorm in 1981, it stood about 230 feet tall and had a circumference of about 36 feet. Its age was estimated at about 600 years. At the time, Big Guy was the second largest Douglas-fir in Oregon.
