Augspurger Mountain

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Revision as of 23:31, 16 May 2014 by Bobcat (Talk | contribs)

View towards Mt. Adams from the north ridge of Augspurger (bobcat)
Augspurger Mountain from nearby Wind Mountain (Jeff Statt)

Description

Augspurger Mountain stretches north from Dog Mountain in a long ridge that offers few views. The summit itself is cloaked in conifers, so you have to hike farther along the north ridge to find meadows blooming with balsam root in the spring and expansive vistas northward.
