Tualatin Wildlife Refuge

Post by markesc » May 18th, 2017, 12:12 am

Just an update from Tualatin, lots to see, I strongly suggest going alone and trust me you'll see 100x more as talking/noise= less birds. Typically you hear them before you see 'em, so I fly solo.

Nice to see them doing their best to control our local rodent population. Love the shot of the mischievous little racoon! Also: A bunting! :o

great pictures, keep those close-ups coming, love to see them

curious about the heron and the newt, I read that newts were poisonous and birds avoided them

That appears to be a salamander, rather than a rough-skinned newt.

More great shots. I tend to agree with you about going solo as well. Many more photos. Although it is good to share the experience from time to time.

Your pics are wonderful! It takes a special talent to be patient enough to see all that.
