Does TKO do any trails outside of the Portland area? There are trails that are in bad shape that are not around Portland. there are other areas of the state.

I'd like to know the same thing. There are a lot of trails in the Three Sisters Wilderness that could use help, for instance.

You could try sending an email to Tyson Cross.

A simple look at this sub-forum should suffice. Why else have a Trail Rx sub-forum?

Just wondering.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering about TKO however.

If you want to see TKO work parties farther away from Portland you could volunteer to be TKO's Mid-Oregon Volunteer Coordinator.

Yeah, I know, still not helping.

The Chemeketans (based in Salem) have several trail maintenance work days spread throughout the year.

Sorry, missed this thread. We've done a few projects in the southern Willamette Valley and Bend area (notably, Smith Rock) but only in partnership with other groups, as our crew leaders and tool sets are still based in Portland. We are in the process of establishing a tool set in Hood River this year and looking to establish a set in the Eugene area soon, as well. But in the end, it's all about finding crew leaders outside the Portland region, as that is what really drives where the project happen.

Thanks for asking!

Tom

I'm based out of Corvallis, and definitely wouldn't mind donating a few weekends to trail work. I've never done it before, so, I'd need some guidance. Weekdays are a no-go because of my job sadly though. If only I were retired!
