Hello, I'm looking for a Russ Jolley Trail. My dad hiked with Russ and my brothers and I hiked with Russ growing up. We moved away when I was younger and I'm trying to remember a trail he use to take us on. I was really young so I'm just going from memory but I'm hoping someone that knew Russ might be able to help me out. The things I remember:
I think it's on the WA side.
I think we drove over the Bridge of the Gods.
It wasn't a marked trail.
You drove so many miles up a road and parked, the trail head was hidden off to the left side of the road.
It was an easy hike, not a lot of climbing.
He use to hide a two man saw in an old hollow tree.
We camped next to stream were we made Jell-O in a coffee can..lol
There was a large tree that had fallen over next to camp and we used the two man saw on.
If anyone else did this trip with Russ and can point me in the right direction and I greatly appreciate it, my brother would like to pass it along to his kids. and I would like to relive some great memories.
Thank you
Natalie

Re: Looking for a Russ Jolley Trail
Russ Jolley made so many trails!
Your description makes me think of the trail network between Duncan Creek and Keufler Rd where Russ did a lot of work.
If you search this site using the search terms Duncan and Keuffler you should get a lot of useful info and be able to confirm if these are the particular Russ trails you are looking for.

Guys, especially Guy. I'm fairly sure he is looking for Lost Creek hike. Drive to Willard and go west for 6 miles. Guy will have a map and Don will too. Guys pictures will confirm the hiker that it is Lost Creek.

Re: Looking for a Russ Jolley Trail
Thank you all for all the help. I'm almost positive the Lost Creek Hike is the one I'm looking for. If anyone has a map that would be great. Also any other information would help. My dad remembers a forest service road but we can't find the correct one. My brother and I want to do this hike this summer.
Thank you
Thank you
