Pioneer-Indian Trail (Mt Hebo) trail re-route

So there's been a substantial logging project underway on Mt Hebo and from just past the mile mark at the grassy road crossing where you get to the little mini-lake up to the road has been really changed. At least a mile. There was a lot more snow than expected so it was hard to tell how much but it used to be past that little lake you'd turn right a bunch of times wrapping around the mountain and finally make a left for the last couple hundred yards to the road. Now there's a bunch of left turns and it seems to be longer. But again with the (greatly unexpected) low snow cover it was hard to really tell how much. But we were on the trail, no doubt.
Just something to be aware of if you go there...

Oh and the paved road to the summit looks plowed, which seemed strange, but it's only plowed to the point the loggers are working (maybe half a mile past where the trail crosses the road) so guess who probably plowed it... No driving to the top for at least a while.

We didn't take snowshoes since the ranger station told me on the phone yesterday, 'there might still be snow in the summit meadow' while neglecting to mention the foot deep stuff a couple miles from the summit. sigh....
