Panther Ridge trail in Wild Rogue Wilderness

Post by dunnman1981 » February 1st, 2018, 4:05 pm

Was wondering if anyone had any info on snow levels on that trail. I believe the highest elevation is 3300 ft. Thanks!

There hasn't been significant snow below 5,000 feet in Southern Oregon anytime this winter. What we did get that low has pretty much melted. At least for the next week or so, there's no precip, much less snow, in the forecast. I think your biggest possible limitation on doing the Wild Rogue Loop in the immediate future might be whether the road to Marial is open - but you can check that. There are two crossings of Mule Creek that are scary (or impossible) if there's high water but I'm thinking we haven't had enough precip/snow for that. But the ticks are out in force.
