Beacon Rock SP: Is the Gate to Hamilton TH Open?

Can we park up at the trailhead, or is that gate closed? Anybody been lately?

Generally, when it's not iced over, yeah. They open it at 8am and lock it 30 minutes past sundown. Yesterday, it was completely full much of the day, so parking down at the rock (adds half-mile each way) was the only option. But, it also means you don't get cited for staying past your welcome.
