Oregon Hikers

We hiked McIntyre Ridge from the Douglas TH to the closed road (Wildcat Creek Rd). About 2 miles from the end we met a group who said they parked nearby. We walked down an old road from the ridge and saw two cars at what this site describes as the New McIntyre TH, reportedly closed. Does anyone have information on the opening of BLM 3626 and this trailhead?

I'm very surprised to hear that cars were parked there. I thought it was gated, never to reopen, because of problems with trash and OHVs.

Yes, that is the trailhead where we saw two cars parked.

The gate heading over there was open earlier this summer. Maybe the fs/blm changed there minds?
