What exactly do you mean by a "field guide?"

This website (www.oregonhikers.org) has a section called "Field Guide". It has detailed descriptions of trails and driving directions to trailheads. Look at the header below the top banner for a link.

Any idea on snow conditions on South Sister? We're planning to hike it this Sunday, July 30th, but don't really want to deal with snow. I hiked it the first week of August back in 2013 and there was no snow covering/hiding the trail.

Click on "field guide" near upper left, then "central oregon", then "Three Sisters Loop"

there are some other ones there that might be useful
