OK, so you'll be in the upper reaches of Eagle Creek on the #433 and then the #435, but won't go as far down as the #440. I guess I could take the 440. I was trying to add on an extra mile with 435. Now that you mention that fact about the PCT alternate the 440 does sound appealing. Thanks!

Leaving the Eagle Creek Trail and taking the 435 up to the PCT and then to Wahtum adds another steep ascent to the overall route, but it is a worthwhile option.
