Eugene-Area Hikes to Prep for South Sister?
Can anyone recommend good hikes in the Eugene area to prep for summiting South Sister later this summer?

Eula Ridge is your best bet Steepest trail around, between Eugene and Oakridge.

Anyone been up S Sister lately?

Yes, still a fair amount of snow on the route but people seem to be making it up no problem when the weather is good.

In the immediate Eugene area there is Spencer Butte and Mt. Pisgah. The elevation gain is of course nothing compared to S. Sister, but multiple treks up and down should prove beneficial. And they are super convenient if you're in the Eugene area. To get the most of Spencer Butte, I recommend starting at the Martin St. TH, at the end of E. Amazon.
If you wish to venture outside of town, the North Trail leading to the top of Mary's Peak might be a decent option.
