Table Mountain - still my favorite
Table Mountain - still my favorite
Finally went back to Table after the TH reroute. Still love it - the extra 4ish (each way) just add one more challenge that the hike didn’t already feature: length. Route was easier to follow than I’d expected, and the first few miles through poison oak really cut down on the number of people at the top

Ah, it's good to see that table, even in its sad current condition.

You do know that's why it got named Table Mountain, don't you??

Does anyone recall the wooden box that was affixed to the cliff side for a while back in ?? the early or mid 80s? I never found out what it was and, of course, it's been gone for years. What was it for? All I could come up with for a guess was that it was part of an attempt to reintroduce peregrines?

Now that you mention it, I remember seeing that too. I don't know what it was either.
