Lamberson Spur Snowshoe

Snowshoed from Pollalie TH up Elk Meadows Trail to Lamberson Spur trail last weekend. Didn't make it all the way to the end of the Lamberson Spur trail. Fantastic snowshoe route.
I'll bet it's nice up there in the winter.
I find in a little ironic here that the scientific name for Sugar Pine is "Pinus lambertiana". Since Sugar Pine is not found as far North as Mt. Hood, I doubt Lamberson Butte was named for the tree. I'm not sure who Lamberson Butte is named for.
