Bennet Pass-Mt Hood Viewpoint

For an afternoon snowshoe hike, we went up to an unnamed viewpoint on the Bennett Pass Road for a view of Mount Hood. There was freezing fog around Barlow Pass, but at Bennett Pass the weather was perfect and sunny! Snow is about 1-3 feet deep, too, in the area. The snow is somewhat powdery, but compacted.

Unfortunately, I kind of forgot to take much of any photos on the way up. So I only have photos from the viewpoint.

Mount Hood sure looks beautiful in winter!

Yup, that's a raven. I've never seen a crow in the mountains; they usually live near people, in cities and around farms.

Thank you. I was pretty sure it wasn't a crow, but I didn't know if there were any raven look-a-likes in our mountains or not.
