Wanted to get this up sooner, but I've been out of town more or less since the eclipse. Hiked up Henline Mountain to watch the eclipse and it was spectacular! I mean, Henline is one of my favorite hikes even without an eclipse. I love the wooded hike up to the view point! Several other people had the same idea, but it was not too crowded.

Another great example of "Better late then never." What a fun video to watch!

Thanks! I prefer to be timely about trail reports, but I'm glad it is still appreciated!

Nice

Someone on the radio said when taking pictures, make sure and include the people watching. Their reaction is probably the best thing.

Thanks! For sure, the reactions are the best! It gives you a better sense of what it was like to be there. Also, my camera is not fancy enough to get really great shots of the eclipse.

what a great video! what do you use for editing? is video editing just a hobby? For a hobby you are killing it.

thanks for sharing, contagious positive energy! :) :) :)

I also wondered about that location, seems like everywhere to the E/SE (clackamas drainage, opal creek, BOTW, etc) worked out really well

Thanks! Glad you liked the video! I just use iMovie, which is the free program that comes on Macs. I learned how to edit from trial & error and video tutorials. Professionally I'm a designer so I definitively use design thinking & theory to make the videos look interesting, but these videos are just a hobby. One that I spend way too much time on!

Yeah, the Opal Creek area is a great place with or without an eclipse!
