Great hike!
The board on this site harassed me until I had to erase all my posts. My posts were quickly at the number one popular spot. This is why they had to do its It, too bad really, I enjoyed the idea of a place I could look back on and see my hikes.
Oh and wow!!!
You guys suddenly desire everyone to believe the trail around mt hood disappeared?
Yeah there is no trail 600. It's invisible. The trail around the mountain.
Thanks guys

Ummm, no one knows the trail numbers. Want to tell people where you were?

I think 779 is Hidden Lake since it's right next to 778 Paradise Park but none of those other numbers are on the map of the Hidden Lake Trail...adamschneider wrote:Ummm, no one knows the trail numbers. Want to tell people where you were?
And if it was.... has the trail been cleared?

AaniishEpiichaak seems more interested in atmosphere and stylish effects than delivering information that other hikers could use to plan their own hikes. It's a change of pace, but I never feel very enlightened by them, other than to hazily grasp that AaniishEpiichaak seemed to enjoy the hike. Oh well, to each his own.

That is a very nasty thing to say, shame on you, but typical of the internet sometimes
I like everyone's reports. Different people have different interests.
My mom said if I don't have something nice to say, don't say anything

Yes, Trail #779 is Hidden Lake. Trail #798 is the "Mountaineer Trail." I know this only because I put them on my Mt. Hood map, but most people completely ignore the numbers.pdxgene wrote:I think 779 is Hidden Lake since it's right next to 778 Paradise Park but none of those other numbers are on the map of the Hidden Lake Trail...

The poster did say Illumination and Steel Cliffs, plus there aren't many places around here to hit 9,000 ft, see a deer licking a glacier, or a marmot...Ummm, no one knows the trail numbers. Want to tell people where you were?
Great report...enjoyed the style. I like noticing the spiders suspended mid-trail as well...mostly so I don't end up with them on my face.

Weird: Apparently if someone "bumps" a thread that they created, it makes it look like the last comment was posted at the time of the bump. (I know Jerry's comment wasn't posted on 9/22.)
