I don't know who decides these things, but I think this hike has been chosen as the hike of the year on Washington Trails Association. Every time you turn around there are 3 more trip reports posted for it. Don't remember it ever being crazy popular before, but it is now.

Looks beautiful. I've been to Mowich Lake a couple times but haven't done this hike yet.

Beargrass was blooming quite nicely today going up Kautz Creek to Indian Henry's Hunting Ground. Also avalanche lilies.

Great pictures, you've got me interested in doing the hike myself. Too bad it's on the Seattle side of the mountain. I'll have to keep it in mind for a multi-day trip in the area.

It's a drive, but a good place for a few day visit for sure :)
