Blue Lake / Elliott Corbett State Park 5/21/17

Post by pdxgene » May 21st, 2017, 4:10 pm

On this warm, sunny Sunday I felt like having a trail to myself and what do you know? Success... :D Must be the crummy scenery....
In four hours out of the car I saw three deer and zero people. And finally got back to that waterfall hidden behind the meadow down in Elliott Corbett State Park. It does involve getting wet, cut and bloody but that's why I went by myself. It's easier to do dumb things that way with no witnesses...
If you went where the crowds were....Thanx!!.. :P

Beautful pics, thanks for the report! I still gotta get there someday. How's the snow looking driving over Santiam Pass?

Getting to be non-existent. The ranger station said I'd need snowshoes. Upon arrival I could tell I wouldn't but didn't want to just leave them in the car and ended up carrying them all day....grrrr....
Though on the HooDoo webcams there sure looks to be a lot by Big Lake still.
