Very cool. I love the blooming cactus shots.

Any ticks? I thought that this area--with the tall grass and x-country travel--would be prime tick country. Maybe it's too early in the season for "full tick" effect yet?

We checked off an on and did a thorough check back at our car and didn't pick up any. We did nearby Sutton Mountain http://www.oregonhikers.org/forum/viewt ... lit=sutton last year around the same time without any ticks either just more blooming cacti.
