Clear Lake loop 3/19

Highlights from a loop around Clear Lake yesterday here....

I would strongly advise against doing this right now unless you are very, very familiar with the route. The rain wiped out any decent track to follow. Tracks lead nowhere and just end. The north end especially is a mess. We never did find the last bridge. The lava section features knee to waist deep post-holing even with snowshoes and with no warning. Fun stuff... :)
Allow at least five hours for the five mile loop if you decide to try.
All that being said, it's super quiet and there's no crowds... ....
