Sulfur smell at June Lake near Marble Mtn Sno-park

A buddy and I went snowshoeing/camping up to June lake last weekend. We twice went up to the lake and both times we could smell sulfur quite distinctly. Has anyone experienced that up there before?

sulfur comes out of Mt St Helens crater, maybe some of it wafted over from there?
