Rainy day hike, lots of mud and no people. <3 <3.
The trail is pretty covered but what it lacks in view points it makes up for with thisles , mushrooms and slugs. Watch your step it seems like horses use this trail and there are a couple of piles of evidence here and there.
There are a couple of places that catch the eye if you can look past the clear cuts.
The lake itself is beautiful. That incredible blue/green shade of PNW water is breath taking. The trail descends towards the lake so you have a great opportunity for viewing or photography.
I managed this hike but it was rather rough on me with all of the stones sticking out of the trail making it pretty uneven. Once you're out of the forested part it gets even worse since there seems to have been a landslide in the past, but you'll be close so don't give up here. I'd certainly recommend this hike to anyone who hasn't done it yet.
