Bull of the Woods Friday 11/4

Post by Double Tree » November 7th, 2016, 12:00 pm

Took a vacation day on Friday. Spectacular day for a hike. No signs of snow, spring-like temps, very little breeze and no bugs. I started at Pansy Lake trailhead and was the only vehicle at parked there. Trails mostly clear. Mushrooms doing very well. Hiked to the grassy knoll intersection at BOW trail and Mother Lode trail, and back the way I came. Sometimes I forget how many volcanoes you can see on this hike. Hood, Adams, St. Helens, Rainier, Washington, Sisters, Jefferson, and lesser mountains of course. Several thinning log-cuts along the drive. Slash piles.
