Horseshoe Ridge (Siouxon) Loop Hike Trail Report

Post by kathyc » November 6th, 2016, 8:06 am

Just reporting the trail is in good shape. A couple of downed trees to go over, do not appear to be new. No trouble finding the trail. My gps shows the distance over 12 miles and elevation gain ~3400 ft, more than Lorain's Afoot and Afield (10.4 miles / 2700 ft), elevation similar to OH field guide.

Thanks. I think your mileage is closer to the reality, so I have updated the Field Guide.

Thanks for the update. I was thinking of going up there on Thursday or Friday and doing the west side loop up to Siouxon Peak. Hows the road conditions?

Sorry my response is late. There were potholes, but some of the cars in the parking lot were sedans. We had an SUV.
