My Kids first Backpacking trip
I took my two boys (ages 5-7) on their first overnight back packing trip last weekend. We did a 3 mile hike into Doris lake (Thre Sisters Wilderness) for a single night. The boys and I had a great time. A big thank you to all on this forum who helped me out with all my gear questions

Good for you! I'll never forget my first backpack with my dad 50 years ago!

Hi! We are looking to take our kids out in this region and I am desperately searching a mosquito report! How bad were they?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Congrats on a successful trip! Good for you for getting your kids out, it so satisfying to introduce them to the outdoors. I'm sure lots was learned, but I also hope they kids will want to do it again. Way to go!
