Fernhill Wetlands

Post by dcammack » July 20th, 2016, 2:09 pm

Last weekend i spent the morning at Fernhill Wetlands, Forest Grove. I went to observe birds. Summer isn't the best time of year but I did see several Green Heron and also Virginia Rail and Sora. Rails are very difficult to find so i was lucky to get several minutes of video.

The birds include Wood Duck, Great Blue Heron, Sandpiper(juvenile), Spotted Sandpiper, Kingfisher, Green Heron, Bald Eagle, Rail and Sora.

breathtaking video! The sandpipers are so cute, I love their little dance. The green heron shots were terrific! He definitely caught something, huh?

Thanks for posting!

What kind of video camera was used?

I don't have any green heron shots!

Last time I went there it was completely flooded over, you couldn't even get to the parking area!
