Now with bonus added water coming over the waterfalls..
I pulled in just before 8a as they were opening the gate to the parking lot at Silver Falls this morning to see the last of the colors and substantially more water than a couple weeks ago. Plus I wanted a (relatively) short drive on all paved roads with no commuter traffic to deal with.
South Falls looked better later so starting the photos at Lower South Falls..
Another early visitor said 'hi'...
Lower North Falls...
Double Falls..
The lower tier of Double Falls...
On to Middle North Falls..
Once you cross behind it you reach one of the best places for fall color shots (along with behind North)..
North Falls..
A couple from under the overhang behind North Falls..
Coming up the trail nearing Winter Falls (pretty much dry two weeks ago)...
Winter Falls..
Heading back past Lower North Falls..
Fuzzy wildlife sharing the trail..
Lower South Falls..
Behind South Falls..
South Falls climbing back up out of the canyon..
Closing with the vine maple near the Lodge building..

Still some color left and you don't have to drive far to see it but it won't last long..

You did a good job capturing the fall colors. It seems so different there than we were there just a little over a week ago.
Here are some views from my visit to show the difference.
Lower North Falls:
Middle North Falls: - I thought I had passed this water fall on the trail without seeing it because it looked so different than when it is full.

In my defense, I have only been to Silver Falls once a year for the last couple of years, and I was searching the waterfalls by visual sight. It looked a lot different from previous visits and I didn't recognize it as middle north falls.miah66 wrote:rainrunner wrote: Middle North Falls: - I thought I had passed this water fall on the trail without seeing it because it looked so different than when it is full.
Here is a picture comparing last years and this years visit.

I went to Silver Falls SP last weekend. Saw only two hikers on the trail to Middle North Falls, six people around North Falls, and an army of hikers at the South Falls. The peak colors had passed for most of the area. Here are some photos:
