I won't write much since there has been a recent post that explains it well. Just a few things to remember. The trail head is back up the road you drive in on and you'll end back at your car if you do the loop. You will lose the trail due to all the blow downs a couple of miles up. Just keep to the right and get on top of the ridge. Don't veer left down the hill as the trail suggests before it disappears. It's all down hill from the peak and following the trail to kinzel lake and down stream with the salmon river. Took me 6 hrs of hiking/running and a total of 8 hrs to complete (I had to spend sometime in the lookout). Fantastic hike!
