My plan was then to do Snoqualmie Pass to White Pass but the heat, lack of water and smoke changed my mind. Instead I just finished the West Coast Trail http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/bc/pacifi ... tiv6a.aspx on Vancouver Island, BC. I will do a post of that trip soon.
