Table rock near Molalla

Post by greenjello85 » June 8th, 2015, 8:15 pm

I snuck in a quick hike up to table rock today to decompress between finals! The roads to the TH and the trail itself were all in excellent condition. There is a lot of new signage and I didn't have to step over any logs all day
This is really a spectacular trail right now with all the wildflowers blooming. There was a lot bleeding hearts, Indian paintbrush, columbine and others. The views from the top are some of the best I've seen. The "rock" itself is enormous!

My pictures from the top don't do the views justice so go see them yourselves ;) This should be on everyone's June bucket list. 90 minutes from Portland, easy to follow trail, nice wildflowers, giant chunk of basalt, and AMAZING views to all the big peaks. This also provided a unique viewpoint of the old cascades.

Love that hike. Were the rhododendrons in bloom?

Close to peak blooms, some have burned out, others are just opening!
