Oregon Hikers

Went up to Silver Star via grouse vista for the first time today. There were only a handful of people - most at the summit. Didn't really encounter anyone on the way up.

Weather was really nice, a bit windy at the top but other then that not bad at all.

Still snow towards the top but not for long. Too early for many flowers also

Man, where's all the snow on those ridges? Amazing how things melted out there.

Thanks so much for the report. I was wanting to go up there this week for the first time as I have heard about it for years. I really want to catch the flowers at there peak, as it will be a 2 1/2 hour drive to the TH. Nice to know I should wait a bit longer.
