We did a 10 mile loop April 1 that included the Larch Mountain Trail steel bridge over Multnomah Creek. This had been closed due to storm damage - a closure that was widely ignored. The forest service now has a sign advising people to cross one at a time.
Trip summary:
A small section of the paved trail leading down to the Multnomah Falls overlook has caved in - this is after the last switchback.
LMT has no blowdown and is in good condition to Multnomah Basin Road. There's very high water on the creek just before the road and the Highwater Trail turnoff. Trek poles advised! We spoke with a hiker who went to about a mile from the summit of Larch Mountain and reported no problems.
There's serious mud on 420C where it descends to meet Vista Ridge Trail.
Whakeena Falls Trail is in generally good condition other than some muddy, messy patches just above Fairy Falls where storm damage took out several switchbacks over the winter. A temporary repair is in place.
A lot of blowdown on Multnomah Basin Road between LMT and the cutover to 420C at around 2200 feet.

Thanks for the report!
Re: Larch Mountain Trail / Whakeena Falls Trail
Going to jump in. I went as far as 5 miles in from the Lodge. Lot of snow had to turn back because friend was not handling it well.
Anyway. Bridge wasn't really a problem.. but just past the Franklin Ridge junction the trail has slid away.
