Lolo Pass Road/Road 1828

Post by walkin62 » July 10th, 2018, 12:44 pm

There is a construction project related to a bridge and culvert on the Lolo Pass Road about five miles up from Highway 26 that will close the road. They are going to begin (tentatively) on July 16th, and it could take two weeks to a month. The good news is that before they do that they are going to fix the nasty potholes and do repaving on the first 3 to 4 miles of Road 1828 starting tomorrow. The 1828 will be open, but there could be up to 15 minute delays. You could still hit the 1828 at the top of Lolo Pass if heading to Top Spur. So the bad news is that when Lolo Pass closes, the 1828 will be the only bypass of Lolo. Expect lots of extra traffic if you are headed from 26 to Top Spur or Vista Ridge, etc.
