Heading counter-clockwise. I am also concerned about the south Toutle crossing late in the day.

I will post a trail report next week and you can read what we came up with. :-)

We might end uo waving to each other from opposite side of the toutle. We head out sat morning clockwise with the first camp by the toutle. We can exchange route info

I think I did the Loowit in late June or early July back in 1992/93. No snow issues, although what was originally meant to be a three day trip was compressed into two days.

The Mt. St. Helens area is kinda special to me. I climbed it once back in 91/92, hiked the Loowit a year or so later, and in June 2002 I proposed to my then girlfriend at the base of the waterfall at June Lake.
