I've got 11" here in Vancouver just west of I-5, exit 5. Still coming down, but lighter than before. 5 trees down around my house. One thirty foot willow. I will miss that one. No paper today! :(

 9 days in a row, 65 miles total and I need a rest! (Though I hope to get back up there Fri. or Sat. given the road is open. The snow in the gorge must be spectacular by now.)

We've got at least 3ft. Had snow on the ground since early december.

It's alright Don, 84 is closed so you couldn't get there anyway.

The light at night is amazing!
Believe it or not, I barely ever ride a mountain bike.

Where do you live to have 3 feet!?

BTW, looks like I-84 has been reopened so I will likely get back up there probably Friday. Maybe give some other, younger and tougher folks a chance to put some tracks down first so this poor old guy won't have to! :)

Don, I live in the upper Hood River Valley. We've been getting 7 to 8 inches overnight on a regular basis and it snows all day. Pretty soon we won't be able to get out the door.

OMG! I remember a storm a few years back when one of my friends, who lived in the HRV said, he had over 6 feet on the ground at his house. It was Jan. of '79 or '80, I don't remember which but I'm sure it was one of those years. It could be worse!! :)

Yes Don, I remember that storm. Our long driveway was only one car wide with fences down each side. No way to plough it so a lot of shoveling was done. It sure was pretty but not really fun.

I recall that storm as well. I was living at the base of Bald Butte/HRV and we had 6 feet from that storm as well. I had gone to Portland to see friends and got "snowed out'. When I did get thru, Multnomah falls area had 14 foot snow drifts and the national guard was shoving it into the Columbia to get rid of it. So it could be much worse.

At least we have snow pack so far. Let's just hope we don't get a Pineapple Express and melt it. I also recall this being an issue with highway 35 up there above the upper valley. One year I could hear the boulders rolling down the river from all the snowmelt. That was one of the times 35 got taken out, though I think this usually occurs in November or early December and not this late into the snow season.
