Update:
I've been playing phone tag with biologists from ODFW and the USFS. The lady from ODFW left a message saying they are aware of it and have gone up in the OSP helicopter to photograph it. She said they really want to get a tracking collar on it as well.

Bill, nice find! I made a contact over at MHNF this past weekend who would be really interested in your pictures, I think. Her name is Susan Freston and her email address is [email protected]. She is stationed out of the Hood River office. Definitely keep us updated. This is great news, for sure!

Then gets "mistaken" for a coyote and shot by a target shooter, he gets in his pickup and drives down the trail on Bald Mountain. Circle closed.Koda wrote:I think it would be ironic if a wolf eats the goat....

Quick, everyone to Yocum Ridge this weekend, so we can have our ridge to ourselves.
Great shot, by the way, how are the snow conditions on Yocum Ridge?

I hiked the blue grass ridge last weekend, and found a small patch of white fur - actually we thought we could have been deer or rabbit fur, as we had no idea or knowledge of goats in the mount Hood Wilderness. After this report, I believe there was one not too long ago wondering near Elk Meadowssprengers4jc wrote:Bill, nice find!
