Some flowers from Eagle's Rest Trail.

Re: 2015 Wildflower Thread
Today's flower show on Dog Mountain. It looks like a nice summer day but it was freezing with a very hard wind. Not worth another trip report but if you are wondering if there are still flowers......there most certainly are. Weather should be much better tomorrow, though I'll be staying home.

Beargrass blooming in the stretch from Shellrock lake trailhead to Frazier turnaround. Maybe a week form peak. It is a shortish stretch along the trail
Cache meadow is full of violets anenome and marsh marigolds, Valerian and lots of other flowers are just starting or a few weeks away. Lots of Trilliums on the trail.

Rhodies going around 2,500' near Vista Ridge.
Bear Grass from about 3,000' up to 4,700', nearing peak, maybe another week.
Avalanche lilies, one group near 5,100', then a huge bunch around 5,400'.
Paintbrush, shooting stars, monkey flower coming out in areas of Cairn Basin and Eden Park.

Incredible Beargrass display in the Indian Heaven Wilderness right now. Also saw a ton of Shooting Stars, Cinquefoil and Mountain Heather in the meadows and Queen's Cup, Lupine, Avalanche Lillies and strawberry plants elsewhere on our route from Thomas Lake TH to a half mile south of Tombstone and then up to Junction Lake.

Mazama Trail - bountiful beargrass (although not as much as McIntyre Ridge last week),
avalanche lily bloomed out...
until you hit the Timberline Trail.
