The rocks on the Herman crk trail just above the powerline rd have fascinated me since I was a kid, seems cold air is always rushing out of them:

Anybody got anything on the "ever" rock just east of multnomah falls?

There is one thing that tops them all. The funniest thing ive ever seen on a hike:

Wait for it.

It's a '47 Hudson - pretty nice car in it's day - too bad this one's "day" is long gone!

Here's one Tom...one I tell very few people about...but you're special. And, I reckon it'll make you trudge up Sleeping Beauty again just to see it for yourself!! Yup, a beloved turtle's gravestone...in the unlikeliest place I could ever imagine. I have no idea about the story behind it, but I'd sure like to learn!!
Oh, and by the way...did you see the pic of Stone face that i placed on GoogEarth?

If I posted pics of everything weird, unusual or historical I found in the woods it would be a very long post - but, here are a few:

Right next to the PCT a couple miles east of Mt. Ashland, last summer:

Deep in the woods on larch Mt:

An abandoned grow operation above Bridal Veil Cr:

A Wave runner that has been chain sawed in two, on Devil's Rest:

I've found literally tons of things like this steam-era relic in the Greenleaf Basin:

Great thread. I love finding old relics and stumbling across curious natural phenomena

Found this on Larch:

I've started a nice collection of old cans, here's one of my favorites, found on Monte Carlo:

Here's a giant roll of paper from a train that derailed near Oakridge from a slide in 1965!

Nope, but now that I've turned the pics back on... I'll head on over there, Scott..!

Okay... another -- shoe tree near Mitchell:

Apparently, there's one near Dry Creek Falls but I forgot to look for it when I was there a few weeks ago.

Of course there is Chief Wy'east high above the Elliot Glacier. Pardon the crummy pick, it was taken of one of the posters hanging in the Cloud Cap Inn. I can't seem to find any pics of my own, anyone have a nice shot of the Chief's face?

I was walking down the beach on Sauvie Island and noticed a piece of driftwood that looked cut on one side. I rolled it over with my foot and found this:
