Slightly after noon.
One of the climbers told me the wind actually wasn't as bad up on the ice. Protected a bit by the shallow amphitheater, I imagine. Most of the places I visited Saturday really weren't all that bad, as long as I was somewhat sheltered. Mostly it was the high points and wide open areas were really savage. The previous weekend hiking up Franklin Ridge was worse. It certainly was cold though. Even though I was in and out of my car on a bunch of short hikes, my water bottle still managed to get slushy.

This must be the "bunny slope" equivalent?

Must be! A couple of days later it looked like this:

Oh, hell yeah!
I'd love to do that "bunny slope". Never heard of munra falls. Clearly I've made some foolish decisions in my life. Oh well, at least I don't hike eagle creek over and over. (Just teasing, Don. Totally respect everything about you.)
