Forest Road 57 closing for season

Post by pdxgene » August 30th, 2016, 7:34 pm

Big sign up today at The Ripplebrook Ranger Station that after the weekend Forest Road 57 (to Timothy Lake) is closing for 'the season' for construction. Which effectively will close Road 58 from that side too. And since it's a gated road in winter it at least sounds like it won't reopen until spring. It looked like the construction might just be near the beginning but we only went a few miles up before branching off...

A slight clarification - road 57 is only closing at the junction of 57 and 58 (it is open from 46 to the junction with road 58), so you can still get up to high rocks, etc.
