Here are some pictures chronicling what has now come to be know as, "The Great Smokey Adventure" (Smokey is the name that has been given to Seal Pup, you could call it his trail name ;) )

Thanks to Eric for being such a great guy this -almost- tragedy has turned into something my kids will treasure forever.

Finally, he finished off his grand adventure with a delicious looking Ruben sandwich and tater tots.

Smokey got to meet the other rangers at the station

Smokey helped break down illegal fire rings and learned about the importance of the forest wide burn ban.

He looks really saddened by the water bottle in the creek.

Eric, you're a great guy for doing this.

The PCT hikers I saw at the Olallie store today said they saw that ranger. I asked if they saw a seal pup and they had all seen it..

Smokey was just filling his water bottle from the creek! Being a honorary wilderness ranger is tough work and left him rather parched.

Smokey and Ranger Eric encourage and suggest everyone filter their delicious cold creek/lake/river/snow water before consumption, even in the wilderness!

Ranger Eric has returned Smokey the Seal to Liam and his sister. Mom, Sarah, brought a basket of cookies for our hero!
Thank you everyone who played a part in this Wilderness SAR mission!

This has to rank as one of the sweetest stories I've heard in this community! Just so cool... :D
