Re: Happy Birthday!
Be sure to write "hey Chip!" on them.

Re: Happy Birthday!
my hero
on a life's quest to find all the Mylar balloons in the wild
I am going to have to up my game
PEOPLE, QUIT RELEASING YOUR TRASH INTO THE AIR, IT HAS TO COME DOWN SOMEWHERE!!!
AND STAY OFF MY LAWN
okay, I'm mostly just trying to be humorous, although it is a bit annoying, there are more important problems in the world...

Re: Happy Birthday!
I haven't seem a balloon in a while, but saw several today. First pic was a "bouquet" of four! Woohoo!
Second pic was pretty far away, but the color makes me wonder if it was part of the same set as the first pic.

Re: Happy Birthday!
I saw this at the beach on the Olympic Peninsula
they could have washed in rather than flown in
there sure is a lot of trash there. I still used leave no trace techniques, but I felt like just throwing my trash all over. I didn't pick up any trash like I usually do.

Re: Happy Birthday!
I've never seen a Get Well balloon. In the field, I mean. I guess that makes sense. They're not ceremoniously released the way Happy Birthday balloons are.

Re: Happy Birthday!
maybe balloons are released more often when someone dies?
Re: Happy Birthday!
In the middle of Badger Creek trail.
Found a short distance off-trail.
Re: Happy Birthday!
Just a plain silver mylar balloon.
It was at a spot where I wanted to drop my pack for a few minutes as I scouted options, so I put the balloon in a tree so I could see it from a distance. How fortuitous!
